Possession of marijuana on Ebenezer Ave.

A traffic stop was conducted early on the morning of Oct. 24 after a vehicle was spotted driving in the dark with no headlights on at the intersection of Cherry Rd and Ebenezer Ave. Once an officer approached the vehicle, he noticed the scent of marijuana and soon detected a shake on the center console. This resulted in a state citation and demand that a licensed driver take control of the vehicle. 

Lightheaded student uses WUPD escort 

A student requested a police escort from Roddey Hall to her off campus residence on Oct. 25 after feeling like she was going to faint. She decided not to receive medical attention but was advised to go to the hospital if she started feeling unwell again. 

Marijuana, alcohol and weapon possession on campus

An officer detected two subjects consuming alcohol next to their vehicle in the parking lot outside of the Parker Building on Oct. 28. They investigated and found that the subjects were underage. The officer also found marijuana, various drugs and packaging materials in the vehicle. The subjects were cleared by arrest for their possession of various contraband on campus property. 

Weapon confiscated outside of Tillman Hall

An officer contacted an illegally parked car near Tillman Hall on the morning of Oct. 28. The officer soon observed two loaded magazines on the center console, a bag with two boxes of ammo on the passenger floorboard and a box in the trunk with loose ammo in it. After being questioned, the subject said that there was also a weapon in the center console. The subject was arrested for carrying a weapon on school grounds and was taken to the RHLC for booking.

Disorderly conduct at weekend party

WUPD was called to assist another officer working a house party on Park Ave. early on Oct. 28.

A subject was acting disorderly at the party and was subsequently issued a state citation for public disorderly conduct and placed on trespass notice.
