Students, organizations and publications across mass communication, digital information design and integrated marketing communications were awarded for their dedication and outstanding work at the 30th Annual Mass Communication Recognition Dinner.
The Department of Mass Communication’s public relations class planned the dinner with the help of professors Emmanuel Nwachukwu, Padmini Patwardhan, Guy Reel and the department’s program assistant, Roberta Daniels.
Several communications industry professionals were in attendance including Sonja Burris of Visit York County, Ken Lemon from WSOCTV in Charlotte, Winthrop alum Amanda Harris from “The Herald” and some members of the South Carolina Broadcast Association.
