Affinity Health Center in Rock Hill has officially opened the doors to their new home on Lakeshore Parkway and they have expanded their services to allow for more patients. These services will include a dental office open for 25 hours/week, a pharmacy on site and 24 exam rooms including the services offered at their previous location just down the road.
Students can now visit the affordable health clinic and wait in shorter lines as they visit the doctors and nurses in their new facility. The clinic claims to be open to serving all people with all types of health care plans.
“No matter your financial situation, our health center exists to provide the care you and your family need, when you need it. Whether you have Medicare, Medicaid, are uninsured or are insured, we believe everyone deserves the best care possible” the center’s website stated.
The center has a full staff that they say is willing to help anyone receive the necessary help they need and be provided with a range of different services.
“Affinity Health Center operates with a staff of 45 full-time and 5 part-time employees. Our team of providers includes an Internal Medicine/Infectious Disease Physician, three Family Nurse Practitioners, a Certified Nurse Midwife, contracted Dentist, Mental Health Counselor, contracted consulting Psychiatrist, Registered Dietician and two volunteer Pediatricians” their website stated.
Some of the services provided at the newest center in Rock Hill are primary care doctors and specialist referrals, nutritional counseling, mental health counseling, dental care, HIV/STD/Hepatitis C testing and care.
The U.S. Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services predicts that U.S. healthcare costs will increase each year between 2018-2025 by 5.8%. With the prospects of even higher costs of healthcare in the future the center said that they hope to provide an open space to fulfill all the needs of the community with reasonable prices to suit everyone’s lifestyles.
“Affinity Health Center’s vision is for a healthy and vibrant community where all people have access to exceptional and comprehensive healthcare” according to the mission statement from the center.
The doors to the new Affinity Health Center are now open and students are welcome to visit the office regardless of whether or not they have a health care plan or not. Their main office in Rock Hill provides a range of services and it is open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
