Téa Franco is a junior double majoring in mass communication and political science with a minor in creative writing. She started working for The Johnsonian as the assistant news editor in her freshman year, and has been addicted to journalism ever since. Her goal is to make sure The Johnsonian provides Winthrop and the surrounding community with up to date, interesting, and factual information. Cheyenne Walsh is a senior mass communication major with a focus in print journalism and photography minor at Winthrop University. She began her career as a student journalist as a staff writer for The Johnsonian in her sophomore year, moving to become the newspaper’s managing editor. She has written over 80 articles for The Johnsonian, along with producing photo and video content, and page layouts. She hopes to continue improving her writing and photography skills in the hopes of becoming a photojournalist. Anna Sharpe is a freshman mass communication major. This is her first year on staff at the Johnsonian and she’s looking forward to meeting new people as she continues to write for the publication. She loves writing, music and her cat. That pretty much sums her up. Matt Thrift is a copy editor and writer for The Johnsonian. He is majoring in mass communications with a minor in history. Joseph Calamia is a Senior that is currently pursuing a degree in Digital Information and Design. His older brother worked on the Johnsonian sometime ago as a staff writer and editor-in-chief, and he strives to do his best. While he focuses on reviews on things such as plays, movies, anime and games, he’s working on expanding his horizons. Haleigh Altman is a junior English major with minors in professional writing and psychology. She has always loved reading and writing and she hopes to go into publishing or copy editing when she graduates. This is her first year as a member of the Johnsonian staff and she also works as a Winthrop Writing Center tutor. Erin Streetman and is a Sophomore Psychology major. She has been working for the Johnsonian since her freshman year and currently holds the position of opinion editor. She is working towards her bachelor of arts in Psychology and she hopes to go on and get her master’s degree to become an occupational therapist. Dillon is majoring in mass communication with a minor in anthropology. Her whole life she’s loved art in any and all forms but has never been very good at making any of it. So, she decided to report on interesting people who can instead. Catch her anytime if you want to talk about random movie trivia or cool stuff people are making on campus. Caroline Riggs is am a sophomore mass communication and French major with a minor in film. She loves writing and editing and worked as a staff writer last year for the Johnsonian and the Roddey McMillan Record. She loves her position as News Editor and working with the Winthrop community and having the chance to get to know people from all different areas of campus! Mikayla Mangle is a senior double majoring in political science and environmental studies. She is pre-law and plans to attend law school after graduation. She likes to write about environmentalism and anything science related!
